Team member Judd

Judd Smith

Veterinary Technician

Judd grew up on a horse farm in Downsville, LA and graduated from West Monroe High School in 1991. He attended NLU (now ULM) for two years in agribusiness/equine sciences. He was the 2004 LRCA Saddle Bronc Rookie of the year. He worked for 15 years at Cummings Veterinary Hospital as a veterinary assistant and then ventured out on his own for 7 years starting colts for the public at Circle J Bar Ranch.

In the fall of 2014, Pine Hills Veterinary Hospital was fortunate enough to welcome Judd on board to help provide superior animal care. At home, Judd still enjoys starting colts and roping as much as possible. He has an Aussie named Joni, who is his constant companion in everything at the farm.

Danni Britt

Veterinary Technician

Danni grew up just a few miles from the clinic. She used to bring her animals to Pine Hills as a kid with her dad and she always knew one day she’d work there. She graduated from West Ouachita High School in 2018 and is currently enrolled at Louisiana Tech University for Animal Science. Soon, she will be applying to vet schools and hope one day to be a large and small animal veterinarian.

She has always known she belonged in veterinary medicine. It has always been her biggest passion and she never gets tired of learning. All animals are inherently good, even the bad ones. They all deserve someone to give them a chance. Danni especially loves the more difficult or complex cases because when she can win over a scared patient, she feels like she’s made a difference that day. The feeling when we fight all the odds and she gets to help heal an animal and then see them go home is indescribable.

When she was much younger, she was shadowing at another clinic and they were performing a c-section. They needed another hand to revive a puppy and although she was scared to death, she was there. The moment that the puppy started crying was the moment she knew she was exactly where she was meant to be.

Danni is so grateful that her wife loves animals just as much as she does. Their family is made up of 5 dogs and 3 cats, so their family is anything but boring. They love to take trips to the mountains and explore with our dogs. She grew up showing cows and riding horses and large animals still have her heart as well.

Kennel Technician

Lauren graduated from Delta Community College with a degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. She grew up in Winnsboro, LA and was adopted out of Foster, and now reside in Calhoun, LA.

She worked in the legal field for 8 years trying to figure out what her passion was. She kind of always knew she wanted to work with animals. She loves helping animals heal and she also loves making them feel comfortable and calm when their owners are away.

Lauren knew she was in the right profession when she wanted to get up and go to work every day and was happy about it. It’s hard for her to be negative when she loves what she does.

I am married with one daughter, Remi. Remi is my pride and joy. We have two dogs, Winston and Cooper. We also have a cat named Gizmo. I spend most of my days teaching and playing with my daughter.
